Plaintiff refers to an individual or entity that initiates a legal action by filing a lawsuit or a legal claim against another party. The plaintiff is also commonly referred to as the “claimant” or the “complainant” in different legal contexts.

The role of the plaintiff is to present their case and seek a legal remedy or compensation for a perceived harm or wrongdoing committed by the defendant. The plaintiff is responsible for demonstrating to the court that they have a valid claim and providing evidence to support their allegations.
